Meet Layla. Layla will be 5 years old in March. She came to our home at 6 weeks of age at a time when I was grieving from the loss of my first toy poodle. I went to the breeder's house with a friend who was looking for a poodle, with no intention of my own of getting another puppy for a long time. Layla was a beautiful little ball of dark apricot fluff that I held and praised and put back in her bed. Then I met her mother Ruby and the demeanor and carriage of this little dog won me over. Layla has not been a disappointment and displays the same quiet, ladylike characteristics as her mother. People often comment on her elegance in motion and attitude. She is very affectionate in a quiet and devoted manner, but loves to play ball and go for rides in the truck. She is always trying to please and my lap is her favorite place.
