Le Poodle Cafe, among
the toy poodle breeders in Illinois, is a fun place to visit whether
you are looking for a new addition to your family or just interested
in getting to know toy poodles as a breed among small dog breeds.
We are happy to announce a new addition to our family, Lily, and
a future endeavor into standard poodle breeding. Layla, Vinnie, and
Lily would like to welcome you to their home and share with you their
family and friends.
Puppies from Le' Poodle
Cafe' are raised in the home, with plenty of love and attention. We
want to provide a selection of healthy, lovable, home-raised puppies
that will become wonderful dogs that will bring happiness to
their new families. We plan to always keep our mommas, pappas, and
babies with us in our home. When we are between litters, we will showcase
puppies from a recommended breeder. This way each momma gets an adequate
"time out" to enjoy being herself. We plan to add a few
more mommies to the household and they will be members of the family
too. Vinnie and Layla's children from past litters were adorable and
sold quickly ... almost too quickly for us.
All of our puppies are
given our full attention. They are socialized from birth with plenty
of human contact and have lots of play time indoors and out. In keeping
with the recommendations of our veterinarian, the puppies' tails are
docked and dew claws are removed at around three days old. We begin
the worming schedule at two weeks and our puppies are given their
first Parvo/Distemper vaccination at six weeks. Before joining its
new family, each puppy is issued a health certificate by the veterinarian,
after a thorough examination. After the 6 weeks checkup and they are
given the "OK", our puppies are ready for their new families.
Any puppy that is not fully weaned and eating solid food on its own
or the vet feels it needs more time to develop will stay with us until
the vet feels it is safe to let go.
By the time your puppy is 6 weeks old, it will have been bathed and
brushed as needed, and his or her nails trimmed. Your puppy will come
to you as a fluffy, fuzzy baby because I think you should get to enjoy
the transformation to an elegant little poodle. I wouldn't want someone
else to give one of my "kids" their first haircut. Each
puppy leaves here with its own 'blankie' permeated with the smell
of his/her mother and siblings to help in the transition to the new
home. We love to keep in touch with the new 'parents' of our puppies
to hear how they are doing and laugh with them at the latest cute
antics the precious little darling has done. Pictures are welcome.
We plan a 'Fashion Show' page in the near future, so dress up your
poodles and send us some pictures with the puppy's name, location
and whatever story or information you'd like to share. Pictures of
poodles (toy poodles, minature poodles, standard poodles) that weren't
from here are welcome too.

there. We'll be adding more items to the menu, so come back often
